The first five runners to finish, and eight of the first ten, were Pioneers with Kaeslin capturing her first career individual title.

The only team ahead of the Pioneers was eighth ranked Providence, who is also the top ranked team in the Northeast Region.

The Pioneers are ranked 15th, replacing Boston University, whom they finished 17 points ahead of at the Nassaney Invitational this past Saturday.

The two captains were selected as the first Northeast Conference Athletes of the Week for the 2015 season on Wednesday afternoon.

With 45 points, the Pioneers held off both the host, Stony Brook, and UMass Lowell, who finished with 52 and 53 points, respectively, at the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday.
